I’m a Woman. Why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu places a huge emphasis on strategy which is meant to level the playing field for all opponents. Chokes, submission tactics, and control maneuvers are king in the BJJ world. However, like it or not, you are going to get a great workout as you practice, so your strength, stamina, and confidence will also escalate as you move through the ranks and “roll” with different opponents.
Is there a Womens-Only BJJ Class?
You bet! We offer both Womens-Only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes AND Co-Ed BJJ Classes. In fact, we were the first academy in CT to offer a womens-only BJJ class.
We do encourage trying out a co-ed class at some point in your practice, but we want you to feel comfortable – that is our top priority.
