The martial art of Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ) has been gaining interest and popularity with women throughout the years. Maybe you first heard of it on a popular podcast or from a co-worker who incessantly talks about this addicting hobby. What exactly is it?

Our student of the month for July is… Caitlin Clarke! Caitlin has been training in our Muay Thai kickboxing program for about 2.5 years. As a Notre Dame alum, she is doing her alma mater proud.

Our student of the month for June is Mike Lefurge. Mike is a Capoeira student with us. After about a year and a half of training in Capoeira, Mike is getting ready to test for his green cord (on June 7th).

Our student of the month for May is CJ. Originally starting in our home school program, CJ has been training with us for over four years, and he is making his way nicely through the youth Kung-Fu curriculum.

Our Student of the Month for April is Noe. He’s been training for two and a half years, and he credits the martial arts for helping to make him a stronger and better person.

Our student of the month for March is Tom Sharp. Tom is in his fourth year of study at Plus One, and he started training after having watched his kids participate in the classes.

Our student of the month for February is Corey Thomas. Corey started training with us in 2010, but he wanted to start training in the martial arts when he was a kid. He noted that once he found Plus One and started training… he was addicted.
