Whether you study Karate, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Silat, Krav Maga, Aikido or a combination of these self defense styles, adding weight training to your workout regimen will produce many benefits.

Our Student of the Month for April is… Kinte Barnes! Kinte trains in Kung-Fu, Karate, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He often comes to three classes a day! Kinte (who is a very physically fit individual) told me that he got tired of the “gym” and decided to do the martial arts.

Our Student of the Month award for February goes to two people this round, Alex Liew and Jonathan Rosenfield. Alex and Jon are best friends, and they have been training together at Plus One for about eight months. They train in Muay Thai, Kung-Fu, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
