Adding weight training to your workouts will definitely enhance your martial arts ability level. Whether you study Karate, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Silat, Krav Maga, Aikido or a combination of these self defense styles, adding weight training to your workout regimen will produce many benefits.

Our Student of the Month for September is a three way tie between Olivia, Robbie, and Sophia Giuffria- listed in alphabetical order. 🙂 Olivia and Robbie have been training for four years; Sophia has been training for seven years. While they are siblings, and they train in many classes together, they began their martial arts training…

Our Student of the Month for May is… Tyler Ferreira! Tyler has been training with us for one year, and he trains in Muay Thai, Kung-Fu, Karate, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is a very well-rounded young man!

It’s very rare that I choose a staff member as our Student of the Month. However, Fresia Morales is ten years into her training with us. (She has earned the parking spot for the month.)

Our Student of the Month for March is… Chris Torres! Chris first started training so that he could lose some weight, and he successfully lost 115 pounds in his first two years of training! (That’s incredibly awesome, by the way. Nice work.)

Our Student of the Month for January is Erin Otte. Erin has been training for about four months, and she originally started training as a way to exercise and release some aggression. (She wanted to do boxing, but we convinced her to give Muay Thai kickboxing a start.)
