Disclaimer- this may not be my most popular message, but it is true. And, sometimes the truth isn’t easy to hear. Parents, are you raising your child to be a black belt, or a quitter? I’ve been teaching the martial arts now since the 1990’s.

I was really taken aback this week when I was driving home. I often pray when I drive, and I sometimes listen to the news. (In what would be a cyclical pattern, listening to the news often leads me to prayer.)

What’s the catch? 1.) You have to be a new or returning student. 2.) You have to register for your first free session online at www.teamplusone.com this week. (The session can take place at any point prior to February, but you have to register for it before the end of January.)

I was out in Colorado two weeks ago teaching and visiting with family. I haven’t seen my brother, or his kids, in a few years. (He has three children, ranging in age from 9 to 16.) We had a great visit, and he said something that stuck with me.
