Youth Classes
Children are often faced with tough decisions. Through the martial arts a child can obtain confidence, discipline, and a higher self-esteem, which helps them make wiser choices when confronted with the hazards of growing up. A healthy focus, combined with the learning of practical self-defense skills, makes the journey toward the junior black belt beneficial and FUN!
Additionally, we utilize a fantastic character development curriculum at our dojo, and a significant level of character work is woven into our youth class instruction.
Kids tend to enjoy coming to class to learn some great moves, to see their friends, and to put some of their energy to good use. Parents, however, consistently comment on how wonderful our character development program really is. Their kids are showing more respect, courtesy, honesty, and responsibility at home and at school.
Our youth program, under the guidance of Sensei Darin Reisler, who is a licensed social worker associate, former police officer, and a parent himself, really is a phenomenal program.
Overall, we offer training in in Kung-Fu, Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Aikido, Jujutsu, Freestyle Kickboxing, Judo, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts/MMA, Capoeira, Kali/Silat, Kettlebell Training, and soft style arts… all under one roof! Students often focus on learning a specific style or system, but all are welcome to cross train in multiple styles. We are located at 20 Jefferson Avenue in West Hartford, Connecticut, right next to Home Depot. We look forward to training with you and invite you to try a free session with us.
Some of our youth programs have run off of a waiting list in the past, so don’t hesitate to call Sensei Darin Reisler at 860-922-5343 to set an appointment to come and see how our programs can be fun AND positive for your child!
